It's that time of year again!!!!
As I sit here, my mom just commented that we have a peaceful house. Pops already went to bed for the night, I am sitting here reading some things, the cat is sitting on the couch and purring, Mom is knitting, and the clock is ticking. We really do have a peaceful house, and it's really good to be home again! It's nice to not have to worry about school, though I am still keeping busy with my end of a deal with my parents. :) I love my family, and I love how supportive they are to me and the decisions I make.
Today was busy, but this evening has been nice and relaxing. I got to talk for a little while with my other half (Renato), and then I set up the Christmas tree with Mom, while listening to Josh Groban Christmas music. After that, we worked on some Christmas planning (you know, getting in touch with Santa and all), which is great. Tomorrow should be another busy, but productive day. I'm doing a lot of the things around the house that need to be done, while waiting to see if Hannaford needs me to cover any shifts. So it's pretty relaxing!!! I was really looking forward to this Christmas, to see Renato and have him meet my family. While that did not happen, I've been fortunate enough to still be able to talk to him every day, while still enjoying time with my parents and keeping myself busy (so as not to think about what was supposed to happen every day while I'm home).
Life is great. I am often reminded just how wonderful it is. :) Before you go to bed tonight, remember to hit your knees and thank the good Lord for your life, and the opportunity to be alive.
I will thank God for my life, but I think I'll skip the hitting my knees part… that might be painful. :-)
