Welcome back to the USA, English Scriptures!

We had transfers last week, and...I survived with Sister Gubler! We are here in Vista Verde for 6 more weeks...well, 5 more now. I think after that, I will want to leave...there are lots of reasons. I am learning that a long time in an area really can feel like a long time to the missionary, even if not for the members in the ward. Weird how that works. I am seeing a whole new side of everything as I am on the missionary side of all this! Anyway, last Monday night, our Zone Leaders called with the transfer. And like I said, I was feeling calm about the whole thing, and neither one of us thought we would leave or be transferred or anything. But in the end, the Zone Leaders called and told us I was being transferred to open an area, training. I didn't believe it. It took about 10 minutes of convincing before we finally started to believe it, and then all I wanted to do was die. I'm so glad it was just a joke! Pretty sure I can't handle that. Haha. In other news....last Tuesd

Jennyanydots Needs to Move into Our House

HELLLLOOOOOOOOOOO USA. So...last monday was a bagunça...not pday, but not a normal day. That's about that. Tuesday was better, though we still didn't get to teach a ton of lessons, cuz we were walking all day. That's the problem with an enormous area, and all your people living in the extremities. Also, our rapaz William disappeared...it was like 2 weeks since we last talked to him. All week we stopped by his house, but finally caught up with him...Thursday! I'll get to that. Wednesday...was awesome. We had Zone Conference, so I got to see just about ALL my mission buddies, because just about everyone is here in the interior. I saw Sister Frame, and President and Sister Moreira of course, and took pictures with everyone. You know how I am. But more importantly, our training was awesome. We learned how to teach better. I have the best mission president there is. Bummer for everyone else. I also got a bunch of letters...and my FIRST package, from JAMES! Thanks James!

I Got Burnt

Hey family! And friends who are family! And everyone else who decides to read this! This week was...well, interesting. And just like last week, i did not even have a chance to write down a bunch of notes to write in here, so I think I will end up forgetting a lot. It was a crazy week. First the bad news. Remember Gil and her family? Well, they moved. To the area of the Zone Leaders in a different zone! And our other golden, William, has disappeared. We are working so hard here, and trying not to get discouraged. Blessings will come, right? Anyway, I'm not unhappy. Just trying to figure out what to do differently so I can baptize. Cuz that is why I am here. Already my prayers have changed, which is interesting to see. I wake up thinking about our investigators. Sometimes I dream about teaching. Mostly my dreams are still just whacked out, so at least that has not changed too much. Church this week was awesome. We announced our new activity to our ward, to get references, with a

Have You Ever Seen 5 Cows Just Chilling and Walking Down the Street?

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful conference weekend! I did not get to see all of conference, which was a bummer, but the part I did see was awesome! I watched conference, one session, in portuguese....the first time I have ever watched conference in a different language! I saw the Sunday morning session in English though, which was such a blessing! It really is different in a different language, when you are not hearing the voice of the prophet or apostles or other general authorities. So that was a new experience. Well, this week I did not make my usual list of things to write in this, so it might end up a little scattered....but I'll do my best. I really have no idea what I am going to write. This is why I make a list; because when I get here to write, my mind draws a blank at what happened this week! We taught a bunch...oh, it was raining this week, so it was harder to teach and make contacts and all...but we survived! And we found some wonderful new people to teac
