Happy birthday Tiff Tiff!

So there's no more classes. Only finals left. I'm keeping busy doing things, whether school-related or not, but it's still weird. Last night I was sitting here putting together some videos and such that Tiff and I have done all year, and it finally hit me that...I'm done class for two years here. It's a weird feeling, and I don't know how to describe it really...bittersweet isn't quite the word. Because I'm leaving so soon, I've been feeling a bit melancholy lately...it's so weird. And it's hard when people keep telling me to come back in the fall. I don't know...I've had a LOT on my mind lately, and I still feel like I'm doing the right thing. So I've been trying to keep busy and not think too much about it... I've tied up a lot of loose ends, both with people and with projects, in the past couple days. But on to happier stuff. Today we are celebrating Tiff's birthday! We're making a duckie cake, and d...

Spinning and Spinning until too dizzy to NOT spin!

Life is wonderful! I'm in love! With country dancing....hahahahaha. But for real. Last night, I went to swing club, and ended up dancing with a guy in my math class (random...but brings a whole new perspective to math class now!). He was really good, and we danced a lot, and I decided the best workout is just to go country/swing dancing. I am trying to find someone to go with tonight, down at the Center. I think I'm realizing that I'm leaving in 3 1/2 weeks, and I definitely shoulda gone dancing long before now, seeing as I won't really have the chance back home! Sad day. So now I'm just going to go every chance I get. Next week, though, we have a country dance lab, so I won't get to go to swing club. But that'll be fine, because it'll be awesome nonetheless. Maybe I'll get to go to both! As for school...this week has actually been pretty relaxing. My math test last weekend was the last test I had to take before finals. I've got a ...

I finally did it!

I deactivated my facebook account! Sure, it's still there and all I have to do is log in to see it again, but I'm okay with that, because I don't plan to be done with it forever. I just need a break from it for now...for a few reasons. Mainly, I miss real life...I miss how people used to actually talk to each other, and not just post on each other's walls. I still have email, but I need a break from the whole facebook scene. And today is Saint Patrick's Day! I was invited to go to a party tonight in honor of the day, which I'm wicked excited about, because this day is not celebrated enough out here- I guess there aren't enough Irish Catholics here, as opposed to Boston. It's hard to find anything Saint Patrick's Day-related in stores, too. Trust me, I looked. Oh, and I have another thing to add to my bucket list: be in Ireland on Saint Patrick's Day sometime. We're working on the waltz in my dance class. It's pretty awesome...because ...

Choices, Choices, Choices

I've found that it's really easy to stay in a bad mood when you get in one. Like if you go to bed in a bad mood, it's easy to be in a bad mood the entire next day. You just start feeling sorry for yourself and then your bad mood sticks around, and you are pretty much unpleasant to be around and associate with (Excuse my dangling prepositions). I found myself in this predicament this weekend...Friday night I went to bed ticked off for one reason or another, and was annoyed with myself for being bugged about this one thing. Saturday I woke up to a beautiful day with lots of sunshine, but spent 8 hours of it at work. Fortunately, I got to work outside and see a great baseball game. Unfortunately, work went on so long that I missed my own party that I'd planned, and that sent me back into my bad mood from the night before. Then I was pretty much in a sour disposition until I went to bed again last night, except for while I was at Stake Conference last night. This mor...
