Rocks Rock!

So just out of curiosity, and because I had a couple minute before I have to head to work, I went on ebay and searched for a rock hammer. They are way cheaper than I thought they'd be! One of these days, I'm going to invest in a good one. But probably not until post-mission, as I technically won't need it until then anyway. Unless for some reason I take it to Alaska...hmm.... idears!

Anyway, I took a geology test today, and it was a breeze. I love having a 4-credit class that I love and have an A in...partially because I love it, and partially because it takes some stress off of my math class, because this will balance it out. Though I'm not doing as badly in math as I thought I was! But i guess we'll see how this next test goes, which I think I am going to take on Saturday. It's going to be a busy weekend! James and I have quite the adventure planned for Saturday evening...just wait for pictures :) I hope it works out, because it'll be a hoot!

In other news, Red Sox season is coming up! April 6, in Boston, against the Devil Rays. I plan on commandeering my apartment TV that night, and you know I'll be wearing my Sox hat all day in support! Go Bo Sox! Which reminds me... I've had the song "Sweet Caroline" stuck in my head all day, because James told me that they played it at BYU Baseball last night. Silly! That started in Fenway!

Well, work time. Then organ practice (I've been a slacker lately). Then the night only gets busier!

    Boston Red Sox????????? Since when do you follow the Sox???? I thought our whole family were rebels and followed the Yankees????? Funny! And I hope you blogged about your Saturday night because I'm really curious.

    And who sang Sweet Caroline anyway? Was it Neil Diamond?

...in this case, it is not the question but rather the answer. Today in Church a talk was given that brought up something important to me.  I am a "list person".  I have so many lists, because that is how I stay organized.  The most frequent list I make is a to-do list, generally before I go to bed for the next day (yes, I still have nightly planning sessions, hahahaha, picked that up from the mission!).  But in this talk, the speaker talked about how we like to-do lists because we can check things off as we finish.  But have we ever thought about a "To be" list?  So that got me thinking.  And tonight for my scripture study, I was pondering over this and decided that I also needed to make a "Not to be" list.  And these are lists that will stay with me for life, as I will never be perfect and will always be working on becoming more like Christ.  Because that is the ultimate goal of a "to be" list.  So here is the result of my study: T...

10 Things I love about Hannaford

So originally I was going to do this in sarcasm...but then decided that I could actually come up with 10 things (in no specific order) I like about my job. Even though being a cashier at a grocery store is not ideal, it's a job, and...well, you'll see. 1. Going on break with my dad sometimes. Because, you know, we work in the same store. It's pretty cool. 2. I love the people I work with soooooo much! Mainly the ones during the day, because I don't know any of the high school kids that work evenings, because I rarely work evenings. 3. Being the "party animal". nuff said. 4. Watching a cashier ID someone for alcohol, and him telling us that he doesn't even have a photo ID since his license was taken away for DWI. Yeah, maybe he should rethink his purchase... 5. June has come!

I remember several months ago, actually, since I got back from the mission, thinking that I could only see my life until June...after that, I had no idea what was going to happen.  Since then, I've been making plans, exploring options, and doing everything I can to make my dreams come true.  Now it's June, and basically everything I had planned until now has happened, and many things have fallen into place a lot easier than I thought they would. So from now on out....I still don't know a lot about what is in store!  My fall semester plans are contingent upon the grade I get in my calculus class for spring term.  The rest of my summer is all planned out, basically down to the hours and minutes!!  In less than two weeks, I'll be on my way back to Brazil.  I will spend 33 days there, visiting the mission and mission friends.  When i come back, I'll get to see my whole family (well, except for Steven who just recently left on his mission), and then I'll h...
