Alaska, here I come!

Yeah, I stole that from the internet. Hopefully the next time I post, I'll have some amazing pictures of my own to put on here, seeing as I'm leaving for my trip TOMORROW!!!!! I've finished nearly everything on my to-do list, I'm all packed, and all I've got going on tonight is 41/2 hours of work at the grocery store, 5:30-10. And then sleep, wake up, and hit the road to Boston, where the trip begins! YAY!!!! I don't even get to Alaska for another 2 1/2 weeks, but the trip is the whole thing...visiting my grandparents, going to NYC, seeing Toronto and Jasper, and taking the train through the Canadian Rockies...and all of southern Canada. THen the ferry up to Whittier. Yeah, it's awesome. YAY! I'm excited, can you tell? ;)

Alright, well, have fun y'all...you know I will be! I'll post again with lots of pictures when I get back, so until June...farewell!

    it is actually only two weeks from today. but you'll only be traveling for a week and a half. you're going to love it here!

    Must have been a fun trip. I saw some pictures on facebook.

    We'll still be around in 2011 when you come back. A mission will be so exciting. I'm a much better blogger than facebooker, so I'll make sure to add your blog to my google reader.

To be or not to be...

...in this case, it is not the question but rather the answer. Today in Church a talk was given that brought up something important to me.  I am a "list person".  I have so many lists, because that is how I stay organized.  The most frequent list I make is a to-do list, generally before I go to bed for the next day (yes, I still have nightly planning sessions, hahahaha, picked that up from the mission!).  But in this talk, the speaker talked about how we like to-do lists because we can check things off as we finish.  But have we ever thought about a "To be" list?  So that got me thinking.  And tonight for my scripture study, I was pondering over this and decided that I also needed to make a "Not to be" list.  And these are lists that will stay with me for life, as I will never be perfect and will always be working on becoming more like Christ.  Because that is the ultimate goal of a "to be" list.  So here is the result of my study: T...

10 Things I love about Hannaford

So originally I was going to do this in sarcasm...but then decided that I could actually come up with 10 things (in no specific order) I like about my job. Even though being a cashier at a grocery store is not ideal, it's a job, and...well, you'll see. 1. Going on break with my dad sometimes. Because, you know, we work in the same store. It's pretty cool. 2. I love the people I work with soooooo much! Mainly the ones during the day, because I don't know any of the high school kids that work evenings, because I rarely work evenings. 3. Being the "party animal". nuff said. 4. Watching a cashier ID someone for alcohol, and him telling us that he doesn't even have a photo ID since his license was taken away for DWI. Yeah, maybe he should rethink his purchase... 5. Now when I hear the name of a vegetable, I automatically think of its PLU. Dates: 3047. Cabbage: 4069. Bananas: 4011. Tree Ripe Peaches: 4044. Eastern Peaches: 4403. Nectarines: 4378....

Jetsetting

So once again I am blogging from somewhere new.  Well, it's not really new to me...this is somewhere I've been far too many times, but I've never blogged from here!  I'm in the Salt Lake airport, heading home for Christmas! And the best part...I get almost  MONTH at home with my parents! I even get to spend my birthday with them! So, finals are behind me, stress is behind me, and now it's time to relax.  I'm on freedom time right now, and can do whatever I want!  I've got a list of miscellaneous things I want to do while at home, people I want to see, projects to finish with Mom, walls to paint with Pops, movies to watch, books to read, and obviously probably the biggest chunk of my time: lots of Skype time with Renato!  It'll be nice to just relax.  This last semester was all kinda of crazy with all kinda of stress in unexpected places and times.  Surprisingly, it wasn't even all about school.  It was a lot of learning that as much as I pl...
